<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording head formable with a favorable image and a recording device equipped therewith. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This thermal head X is includes: a board 10 nearly rectangular in a planar view; a plurality of heating elements H arranged on one principal surface 10c along the first longer side 10a of the board 10; and a radiating body 70 provided on the other principal surface of the board 10. The radiating body 70 has: a first side face 70b extending along a second longer side 10b of the board 10; a first depressed part 701 which is depressed from a first side face 70b towards the direction of an arrow D3 and extends along a second longer side 10b; a second side face 70c extending along the first longer side 10a; and a second depressed part 702 which depressed from he second side face 70c towards the side in the direction of an arrow D4 and extends along the first longer side 10a. The first depressed pat 701 has a first engaging part 701c and a second engaging part 701d at both end parts in its directions indicated with the arrows D1 and D2 and at the same time, the volume of the second depressed part 702 is smaller than that of the first depressed part 701.
