<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas discharge display panel having a longer life and highly reliable display quality while suppressing the deterioration and aging effects of discharge property and emission luminance/chromaticity resulting from impurity gas. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The gas discharge display panel includes a gas adsorbing device 20 containing copper-exchanged ZSM-5 type zeolite and provided in a space to be aerated with a discharge space held between a first substrate and a second substrate. The copper-ion-exchanged ZSM-5 type zeolite is formed into the gas adsorbing device which can be stored without deterioration until used, to exhibit very low adsorption balancing pressure on impurity gas such as oxygen, nitrogen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide or hydrogen, and to exhibit chemically adsorptive strong force, therefore removing the impurity gas from the discharge space in a display region while keeping filled gas highly pure. This produces a longer life and highly reliable display quality while suppressing the deterioration and aging effects of discharge property and emission luminance/chromaticity resulting from the impurity gas.
