<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coloring agent for petroleum products that prevents generation of harmful substances based on an azo dye and is safe and friendly to the environment. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The coloring agent for petroleum products has various color tones and are prepared by dissolving dyes comprising as the main components red and blue anthraquinone dyes and yellow methine and quinoline dyes in a mixed solvent of methylnaphthalene and styrenated phenol.
