<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel hydride of a ring-opened copolymer having low permittivity and water absorbency, high metal adhesiveness, and excellent heat resistance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The hydride of a ring-opened copolymer is obtained by hydrogenation of the ring-opened copolymer. The ring-opened copolymer comprises a repeating unit [A] of a cycloolefin monomer having a carboxylic anhydride group and a repeating unit [B] of an unsubstituted cycloolefin or a cycloolefin having a hydrocarbon group, and a constitutive molar ratio [A]/[B] between the repeating units is from 5/95 to 95/5.
