PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor integrated circuit incorporating a functional module of a large operation current and a temperature detection circuit detecting the temperature of a chip, hardly influenced by noise of a system board, and capable of controlling or monitoring external temperature. SOLUTION: This semiconductor integrated circuit 1 is provided with the temperature detection circuit 10 detecting the temperature of a chip, and the functional module 11 carrying a large operation current. An external terminal T5 supplying an operation voltage Vcc and an external terminal T2 supplying the ground voltage GND are connected to the functional module 11. The temperature detection circuit 10 generates a temperature detection signal VTSENand a reference signal VREF. The reference signal VREFand temperature detection signal VTSENare led out to the outside of the integrated circuit through a first external output terminal T3 and a second external output terminal T4, respectively, and can be supplied to an external temperature control circuit or temperature monitoring circuit 2 each having a circuit form of a differential amplifier circuit CP100.
