In performing a handling operation for connection with a base station (10) in accordance with first transmission timing adjustment information (TA#1), when a mobile station (20) receives second transmission timing adjustment information (TA#2) in the course of its connection handling process, the mobile station applies the first transmission timing adjustment information (TA#1) to the transmission timing adjustment for a transmission handling within a valid time limit for the information (TA#1), while applying the second transmission timing adjustment information (TA#2) to the transmission timing adjustment for a transmission handling past a valid time limit for the information (TA#1).
