The system (1) has a communication device (2) for processing acoustic signals of a user. Language grammars (3-5) such as words and phrases, are provided for communication and are stored in the communication device. A selection unit selects one of the language grammars for producing outputs (7, 9, 11, 13) depending on the acoustic signals of the user, which are given as inputs (6, 8, 10, 12). The language grammars are assigned to different contexts (A, B), where the selection unit selects the language grammar depending on a context-specific signal portion in the acoustic signals. An independent claim is also included for a method for performing communication between a user and a communication device.
