LIGHT-EMITTING DEVICE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device, wherein optical absorption is reduced, for high brightness; and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.

SOLUTION: The light-emitting device includes: a light-emitting layer comprised of a semiconductor; an upper side electrode comprising a bonding electrode that can be connected to a wire and a thin wire electrode which is away from the bonding electrode while enclosing it and includes a connection part to the bonding electrode; and a current diffusion layer which is provided between the light-emitting layer and the upper side electrode and includes a recess for emitting light emitted from the light-emitting layer formed in the region having no upper side electrode.
