<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-standing film having excellent mechanical strength and flexibility as well as a sufficient area, and a method for production of self-standing films applicable to various functional monomers. <P>SOLUTION: The organic-inorganic hybrid self-standing film includes an organic polymer having a constitutional repeating unit derived from a monomer represented by general formula (1) and a hydrolytic condensate of a metal alkoxide.
