<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forging method by which the number of working processes is less, the yield of a blank is excellent and the service life of a die is long. <P>SOLUTION: The method for forging a bevel gear comprises: a first forging process for forming a first intermediate formed product; and a second forging process for forming a second intermediate formed product W2, in which a body part 10 having a tooth part 9 on the outer periphery and also a one end recessed part recessed in the axial direction at the one end part in the axial direction of the axial center, and a projecting part 13 projecting from the back surface part at another end side in the axial direction of the body part 10 are provided by pressing the first intermediate formed product with a closed type engraved space formed of the first die 21 and the second die 31 disposed facing the first die 21 in the axial direction. The tooth part 9 is provided with a tooth surface whose diameter becomes more larger as directing from the one end side in the axial direction to the other end side in the axial direction. When the formation of the second intermediate formed product W2 in the second forging process is completed, a space S is formed between at least a part of the projected part 13 in the second formed product W2 and the closed-type engraved space. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
