<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reopen playback by a magnified video as a video screen upon bookmark playback of the playback video by a video playback apparatus. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The video playback apparatus 30 has an operation unit 31, a video control means 32, and a display unit 33. The video control means 32 includes a video control device 34, a memory device 35, and a video display control device 36. The video display control device 36 expands image data a1 by an arbitrary magnification ratio according to an operation of the operation unit 31. If the bookmark storage is instructed, bookmark information (a playback time, a magnification position, a magnification ratio) is carried out bookmark storing.
