PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin for toner excellent in the balance of hot offset resistance and low temperature fixability and also excellent in color reproducibility. SOLUTION: The resin composition for the toner contains a polyester resin (A) satisfying following formulae (1) and (2) and at least one kind of resin (S) having at least either a polyether chain (e1) or a polyester chain (e2) as a side chain (e), selected from a group consisting of a polyurethane resin (S1), a polyurea resin (S2) and a polyurethane/urea resin (S3), and the content of (S) ranges from 0.01 to 10 wt.%.
