PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stator of an electric motor which enables split and stacked stator core blocks to be combined in a cylindrical shape easily and which does not increase a cogging torque. SOLUTION: The stator has: a cylindrical frame 13; a plurality of stator core blocks 11, which each have a circular yoke part 11a in which a groove 11d in the axial direction is formed on its outside circumferential side, and a teeth part 11b which protrudes from the yoke part 11a and on which a coil is wound, which are inserted in the frame 13, and which are arranged cylindrically with side surfaces 11e of the yoke part 11a adjacent to each other; and pillar-like wedges 12 which are driven into the grooves 11d to press-contact with the grooves 11d and the inside circumferential surface 13a of the frame 13, which let the side surfaces 11e of the yoke parts 11a contact closely with each other, and which fixes the stator core blocks 11 to the frame 13.
