PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus with which good distortion aberration correction accuracy is ensured, and convenience is enhanced. SOLUTION: A digital camera includes an interchangeable lens unit and a camera body. The interchangeable lens unit is provided so as to form an optical image of a subject. A flash memory 242 is configured to hold a correction coefficient table E used to electrically correct distortion aberration produced by an optical system. The camera body has a CCD image sensor 110, a correction coefficient acquisition part 145, an operation part 147, and a correction processor 193. The correction coefficient acquisition part 145 is configured to acquire a correction coefficient table E held in the flash memory 242. The operation part 147 is configured to produce correction data by performing an interpolation operation on information obtained from the correction coefficient table E.
