PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon dioxide gas generating apparatus capable of using at home or the like easily, and having a good effect of hyperthermia, and improving the symptoms of fatigue of lower limbs of a human body, lassitude, heaviness, swell, chill, or the like. SOLUTION: The carbon dioxide gas generating apparatus 1 includes a footrest part 2 capable of placing a leg by contacting the sole, an agent storing part 3 capable of storing a carbonic acid gas generating agent and a steam generating agent, and a lower limb covering part 4 which forms a space for encircling and covering the lower limb or the instep, and the footrest part 2 is disposed at the lower part of the lower limb covering part 4 and joined, and when carbonic acid gas and steam are generated in the agent storing part 3, the carbonic acid gas and the steam are supplied into the lower limb covering part 4 from below the footrest part 2.
