A fuel cell power generation system (100) for generating electric power by using hydrogen-containing gas generated from a raw material containing a hydrocarbon component and an odorant component is provided with a raw material supply unit (4) for controlling the flow rate of the raw material, a water supply unit (3) for supplying water, an adsorption removal unit (5) for adsorbing the odorant component contained in the raw material by passing the raw material therethrough, a reformer (1) for generating the hydrogen-containing gas by a reforming reaction between the raw material passed through the adsorption removal unit and the water supplied from the water supply unit, and a fuel cell (8) for generating the electric power by using the hydrogen-containing gas as fuel, and further provided with an operation control unit for decreasing the flow rate of the raw material to be supplied from the raw material supply unit (4) to the adsorption removal unit (5), which is set according to electric power to be generated by the fuel cell (8), with the increase of the integrated flow rate of the raw material supplied from the raw material supply unit (4) to the adsorption removal unit (5).
