摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To individually measure the gain of a remote excitation optical amplifier and the Raman gain with respect to main signal light in an optical amplification transmission system where the gain of the remote excitation optical amplifier and the Raman gain are obtained. <P>SOLUTION: A wavelength band of main signal light is set to a band common for a Raman gain band in an optical fiber transmission line and a gain band in a remote excitation optical amplifier. A terminal station device, which transmits main signal light, includes a monitor light transmission means for transmitting monitor light set to a wavelength out of the gain band of the remote excitation optical amplifier and within the Raman gain band in the optical fiber transmission line. A terminal station device, which receives main signal light, includes: a means for measuring a reception level of main signal light; a monitor light receiving means for measuring a reception level of monitor light; and a gain arithmetic means for calculating the Raman gain of the optical fiber transmission line and the gain of the remote excitation optical amplifier, respectively, with respect to main signal light, using the main signal light reception level and the monitor light reception level. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
