<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing unit, or the like, capable of suppressing the occurrence of jaggies. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing unit comprises: a first combination differential value determination section 172 for determining a first combination differential value; and a first interpolation section 173 for interpolating a pixel to be interpolated by pixel values of three pixels or four pixels in the six pixels of a pixel directly above, a pixel at the upper left, a pixel at the upper right, a pixel right below, a pixel at the lower left, and a pixel at the lower right according to a combination, when the determination result of the determination of the first combination differential value is true; and when the combination of pixels determined to be true meets prescribed conditions, and for interpolating the pixel to be interpolated by pixel values of two pixels of the pixel right above and the pixel right below, when the determination result of the determination of the first combination differential value is true, and when the prescribed conditions are not satisfied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
