<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that there is light emission loss since when a flat plate type translucent resin layer is arranged on a flat plate type substrate, light emitted directly downward is reflected again and again and the majority is absorbed by the substrate, so that it is difficult to guide the light emitted directly downward from a light emitting element to the outside. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting device 1 has the substrate 3 having a principal surface, a translucent member 5 disposed on the principal surface of the substrate, and the light emitting element 7 disposed on the translucent member, wherein at least one of the substrate and translucent member has projection portions and the other has recessed portions which engage the projection portions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
