<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating material that can be installed easily even when a protruded portion is formed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The heat insulating material includes a plurality of small heat insulating material pieces 4a held in contact with the outer peripheral surface of a heating body and a cylinder. Each heat insulating material piece has a surface fastener, and is joined to the adjoining heat insulating material piece by the surface fastener. By this constitution, since the protruded portion 8 protruding from a gap between the heat insulating material pieces 4a can be formed, the heat insulating material can be easily installed even when the protruded portion is formed.
