摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sorting facility capable of starting a sorting operation immediately after a start-up, and coping with a high-speed sorting by dissolving deviation in tracking. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A speed for delivering an article D with a delivering conveyor device 82 is made identical to a speed for moving an article support 50 with an endless chain 40. While the article D is being detected on the delivering conveyor 82 with a first photoelectric sensor 84, when a fracture of an article lateral pressing body 57 is recognized with a fracture detector comprising a second photoelectric sensor 86 and the like, an action of the article lateral pressing body 57 is stopped, and the pressing body 57 is moved to a terminal end. By this constitution, there is no need for storing a number unique to the article lateral pressing body 57, in which the fracture is recognized, and therefore, the sorting operation can be started immediately after a start-up. Also, even when the fracture of the article lateral pressing body 57 is detected, delivery of the article D and movement of the article support 50 are continued, as they are.
