PROTECTION MEMBER, PROTECTION UNIT AND PROTECTION BODY

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection member further excellent in the protection performance to a flying matter such as a bullet having high penetrability and also reduced in weight, and a protection body using the same.

SOLUTION: The protection member 1 includes an inclined surface 1d on an outer circumferential part of a face 1c opposite to an impact receiving face 1a of a ceramic body. Since crack becomes difficult to progress in the protection member 1, the protection performance for arresting penetration of the flying object in the protection member 1 is never impaired.
