PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a device for acquiring biological information thin while suppressing a degradation in quality of acquired images in a method of acquiring images by moving an image pickup device such as a line sensor.

SOLUTION: The device 70 for acquiring biological information acquires an image of veins of a finger of a human on the basis of light irradiation of the finger of the human. The device 70 is equipped with a light emitting part for emitting outgoing light from a light emitting element 8 to the finger of the human through a light guide 16, an imaging part 9 having one or more rows of pixels formed by arranging a plurality of pixels, and a driving mechanism for moving the light emitting part and the imaging part directly or indirectly in a direction of intersecting with the direction in which the pixels contained in the row of the pixels are disposed. The light emitting part which emits the outgoing light from the light emitting element 8 to the finger of the human through the light guide 16 is adopted, and the light emitting part is moved together with the imaging part.
