<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a suitable prediction image formation in intra-prediction based on a pipeline process, and besides to reduce a circuit scale. <P>SOLUTION: In the encoder which carries out intra-prediction by a plurality of pixel blocks in which a frame of a video image is divided, the encoder is provided with: a pseudo local decode image forming part (315) for encoding an original image simply; and an intra-prediction part (311) for selecting an intra-prediction mode by use of the generated pseudo local decode image. In the intra-prediction based on the pipeline process, a pipeline stage is divided into a selection process of the intra-prediction mode, and a process of generating prediction image data in the selected intra-prediction mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
