PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an unwasted temperature control in which a poor fix caused at image formation is kept to a minimum. SOLUTION: A plurality of sheets of paper are fed continuously from a tray unit 15, and each of photoreceptors 11K to 11Y transfers a toner image on each paper sheet P. When the toner image is fixed on the paper sheet P by heating, at a predetermined temperature, the paper sheet P on which the toner image is transferred at a fixing unit 18, a control unit 4 controls a fixing temperature of a fixing roller 19 to reach a preset target temperature and changes a start timing of its control based on a predetermined condition.
