<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition capable of attaining low rolling resistance equal to a conventional level or more while performing formulation of a thermosetting resin such as a phenol resin as a modulus of elasticity enhancement means for compensating for reduction of a rubber material. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rubber composition is characterized in that 0.5-5 pts.wt. of at least one resin selected from a cashew-modified phenol resin, a cresol resin and a resorcinol condensation product and 0.5-3 pts.wt. of N-(1,3-dimethylbutyl)-N'-phenylquinonedimine are formulated relative to 100 pts.wt. of a diene based rubber.
