PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric compressor capable of preventing failure or breakage of a motor driving circuit by keeping a pressure in a driving circuit storage chamber constant. SOLUTION: The pressure in the driving circuit storage chamber 13b is kept to be a prescribed pressure by a vent valve 16, and thereby, fluctuation of the pressure in the driving circuit storage chamber 13b caused by change of the installation environment or heat generation from a power semiconductor element 41a can be prevented, and failure or breakage of a component constituting a driving circuit part 40 can be prevented.
