<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound insulating device for a water tank, which can reduce or insulates the noise generated in a water tank of a sink or a wash basin as well as the noise generated when water is discharged over dishes. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Speakers 36-42 are provided on side faces 16-24 of a sink tank 14 of a sink 10 while a microphone 44 is provided on a rear face 18, so that the water sound detected by the microphone 44 is cut by a control sound generated in a controller 48.
