PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical glass made of fluorophosphate glass which has a high refractive index, low dispersion and excellent thermal stability and which is made to suppress volatility.

SOLUTION: The fluorophosphate glass contains, by cationic%, 20 to 45% of P5+, 15 to 35% of Al3+and 20 to 50% of Ba2+, as well as by anionic%, 20 to 50% of F-and 50 to 80% of O2-, wherein a molar ratio O2-/P5+is not less than 3.5, a molar ratio Al3+/P5+is not less than 0.45, Abbe numberνd is not less than 66, and a refractive index nd satisfies expression (I):nd≥2.0614-0.0071×νd, with respect to the Abbe numberνd.
