PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a highly effective transmission rate by realizing transmission with a frame of infinite length. SOLUTION: In an OFDM transmitter, the timing of data S19 to be transmitted is detected by an input data timing detection section 21, an input timing information modulation section 22, and a variable length portion signal generation section 24. Then it is processed as information by an input data modulation section 20, an OFDM symbol portion generating section 23, and a frame generation section 25, to produce data which are subjected to digital modulation and transmitted. Meanwhile, in an OFDM receiver, the timing information of transmitted data is subjected to digital demodulation by an FFT time window signal generation section 30; an FFT processing section 31 and a timing information demodulation section 32, thereafter, is used for timing regulation of an OFDM symbol; and the OFDM symbol timing is synchronized between the OFDM transmitter and the OFDM receiver and the timing of data is also synchronized.
