PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an operator to perform the on-time monitoring of behaviors of tips at both ends in the conveyance direction in parallel with the conveyance direction of a signature discharged in an impeller. SOLUTION: This device for discharging a sheet-like object is provided with a pair of right and left rotatable folding rollers 29, a plurality of conveyance belts 20 in a right-and-left pair holding and conveying signatures Wb supported by the folding rollers and having clearances in a direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction of the signature Wb, and the impeller 21 supported rotatably while having a plurality of blades 21a having clearances, and holding the signatures Wb discharged from the conveyance belts between the blades. The device is further provided with a camera 30 picking up the images of the tips at both ends in the conveyance direction in parallel with the conveyance direction of the signature Wb discharged in the impeller from a paper discharging belt from a direction orthogonal to the shaft of the impeller.
