<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which easily folds the surface of a Tatami finely at low cost without purchasing an additional large-scale device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The Tatami-surface folding machine 1 is attached to the Tatami-edge sewing device 8 so that it is demounted, and the Tatami-edge sewing device includes a platform 9, a Tatami-fastening part 17, and a sewing machine 11. A Tatami mat core is placed on the platform 9, and the Tatami-fastening part is used for pressing the Tatami mat core placed on the platform 9. The sewing machine is used for sewing the surface of the Tatami on the Tatami mat core. The Tatami-surface folding machine 1 includes a body 5 placed on the platform and a folding part 4 which is attached to one end side of the body 5 so that it rotates. Furthermore, the Tatami-surface folding machine 1 includes a first convexity 7 and a second convexity 6 so that it is prevented from becoming misaligned when it is placed on the platform.
