<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lever fitting type connector capable of preventing the damage of a housing and a lever due to turning of the lever in the non-fitted state. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The connector 1 houses a female terminal and comprises the housing 6 fitted to a mating connector 2, and the lever 10 rotatably mounted to the housing 6. Both connectors regulate turning of the lever in the non-fitted state, but in the case of trying to further turn the lever into a fitting position in this state, the damage of the housing can be prevented by providing the housing 6 with an opening preventive bridge 13 and providing the lever 10 with a projecting part 22.
