PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the intercept of a running emergency vehicle and the occurrence of a traffic snarl-up due to an encounter of the emergency vehicle. SOLUTION: A route search apparatus 100 is mounted to a movable body, searches a recommended route to a destination. The apparatus 100 includes: a storage section 101; a receiving section 102; a setting section 103; a search section 104; and an output section 105. The storage section 101 previously stores location information on a predetermined facility from which the emergency vehicle is dispatched. The receiving section 102 receives information on a location at which an accident occurs. The setting section 103 sets an area (a predicted area) including the predetermined facility from which the emergency vehicle is predicted to run and the location at which the accident occurs by using the information on a location at which the accident occurs and the location information on the predetermined facility stored in the storage section 101.
