<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a greening structure which is set up by arranging a plurality of base materials on a substrate surface of a sloped roof side by side along a sloping direction and a girder direction, and setting moss mats each having moss planted thereon on the base materials, wherein the sloped roof is improved in design quality while stably fixing the moss mats on the base materials. Ž<P>SOLUTION: According to the greening structure, when each moss mat 3 is set on the base material 2, while an eaves-side edge of the moss mat 3 is held by stoppers 40, the moss mat 3 is fixed onto an upper surface of the base material 2 with a plurality of fixtures 41, etc. Then the moss mats 3, etc., adjacent to each other in the girder direction, are arranged such that lateral end faces thereof along the sloping direction are opposed to each other in a manner abutting on each other or securing a slight gap between the same, and at the same time the moss mats 3, etc., adjacent to each other in the sloping direction are arranged such that upper surfaces thereof are stepped from each other.
