PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce resistance in an electric double-layer capacitor, for example, for assisting each kind of power supply. SOLUTION: The electric double-layer capacitor at least includes: an element 1 where anode electrodes 2A, 2B and cathode electrodes 3A, 3B in which polarizing electrode layers 2a, 3a are formed on a collector made of metal foil are laminated with a separator 4 therebetween, and the anode electrodes 2A, 2B and cathode electrodes 3A, 3B are exposed to opposing end faces thereof; an anode current collection electrode 5 and a cathode current collection electrode 6 formed on respective electrodes exposed to the end faces that oppose the element 1; and an electrolyte for drive impregnated into the element 1.
