PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for dentistry, excellent in mechanical strength, polishing luster and luster durability of its cured material and also having good operability of its paste. SOLUTION: This composition for dentistry contains (A) a polymerizable monomer component and (B) an amorphous filler containing silica-based fine particles, and an oxide covering the surface of the silica-based fine particles, containing a zirconium atom, a silicon atom and an oxygen atom, and having 1 to 20 μm mean particle diameter and 50 to 300 m<SP>2</SP>/g specific surface area, wherein, the filler (B) is surface-treated with a 10 to 50 pts.wt. silane coupling agent based on the 100 pts.wt. filler (B), and here, it is preferable to contain the 20 to 700 pts.wt. filler (B) based on the 100 pts.wt. polymerizable monomer (A).
