<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint with a plug body having an engaging portion for engaging with a ball with higher strength without using a highly strong material to form the plug body. <P>SOLUTION: The engaging portion 23b for engaging with each ball 13 of a socket 10 is formed of a harder material than that for the plug body 21, thus improving the durability and life while avoiding easy deformation of the engaging portion 23b even when using high pressure fluid. In this case, since the engaging portion 23b is provided on annular member 23 formed separately from the plug body 21, the strength of the engaging portion 23b is improved without using a highly strong material to form the plug body 21 and a selective material is used depending on working fluid and its working conditions to form the plug body 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
