PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extensible/contractible gate capable of preventing it from being extended and contracted by itself due to gravity and reducing opening and closing force. SOLUTION: This extensible/contractible gate door is provided with a plurality of vertical sashes 1 and links 2a, 2b being freely extensible and contractible in the right and left directions to connect these vertical sashes. The link has a first link member 3 and a second link member 4 arranged at an interval in the direction of depth therebetween. An energizing member 5 is provided between the first link member and the second link member and energizes the links 2a, 2b in the direction for extending or contracting them.
