<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser oscillation device 11 capable of changing the oscillation repetition frequency of a laser beam without changing laser output characteristics. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In synchronization with an oscillation pulse of excitation light thinned by a predetermined pulse number to the oscillation pulse of the excitation light for exciting a YAG rod 14, an EOQ switch element 16 is allowed to perform a switching operation for laser oscillation. Without changing the oscillation repetition frequency of the excitation light, a heat input condition to the YAG rod 14 that is a laser medium is made constant, and only the driving repetition frequency of the EOQ switch element 16 is changed.
