<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a COF tape so improved as to obtain a chip-on film having a different length and a chip-on film having a different number of terminals only by changing an area to be punched with a punch die. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The COF tape having constitution units A of a chip-on film formed successively in a front-rear direction by mounting many IC chips 2 on a tape base 1 at constant intervals, forming an input terminal arrays and an output terminal arrays 40 at front sides and rear sides of the respective IC chips 2, and wiring them by a conductive pattern 5 has two lateral input terminal arrays 31 and 32 as the input terminal arrays. It is recommended that the input terminal arrays 31 and 32 are made different in the number of terminals. The chip-on films differing in length and the number of terminals are obtained by including the lateral two input terminal arrays 30 and 31 or only the input terminal array 31 closer to the IC chips 2 in the punch area.
