<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable information to be read easily even if an information display window is located above the viewpoint of an information reader. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A gas meter, namely one form of a meter, has a counter mechanism 2 for displaying the integrated result of gas, and a security information display mechanism 5 for displaying security information. They are stored in a case 2, and information display windows 51, 52 for visually recognizing the information being displayed are mounted to a front sidewall section 6 of the case 2. The respective information display windows 51, 52 are formed by a lens-like transparent member having a trapezoidal section, thus enabling the information reader having a viewpoint below the information display windows 51, 52 to easily read information.
