<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilizer for improving hygiene and sterilizing performance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The sterilizer 1 is provided with a processing chamber 20 for storing materials to be processed, steam supply parts 30 and 31 for supplying steam in the processing chamber 20, and an exhaust duct 35 for discharging gas in the processing chamber 20 via an exhaust port 35a provided to the processing chamber 20, and performs sterilization processing of the materials to be treated in the state of low oxygen under normal pressure by filling the processing chamber 20 with steam.
