PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To considerably improve its sensitivity compared with a conventional technique regarding an ion trap with large ion trap capacity. SOLUTION: A mass spectrometer includes the first linear ion trap for performing mass-selective discharge, and the second linear ion trap for mass-selectively discharging ions discharged from the first linear ion trap after accumulating the ions discharged from the first linear ion trap.
