The element (1) has a wall panel (2) including disk-like support elements (3) arranged in support element-planes (A, B). The support elements are coupled with each other by strip-type coupling elements (4). The coupling elements are arranged between adjacent elongated edges of the support elements lying in one of the planes. A strip-type beam (5) is provided at the wall panel for base and/or cover sided connection. The wall panel projects over the beam on both sides such that surface coverings (6) provided on both sides of the wall panel are held at a distance to the beam. The coupling elements are made of solid wood, plywood and laminated wood.
