The machine (10) has a stator (11), and a rotor (14) rotatably and movably supported to the stator. The stator has a stator winding (21) that is made of copper and material comprising nano-tubes such as carbon nano-tubes. The electrical machine has a superconducting rotor coil, and the stator winding is designed as an air gap coil. The stator winding is arranged in and/or at a stator laminated sheet packet (12). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a stator for an electrical machine.
