The oven has baking chambers and a common heating system, where a temperature controlling device (14) is provided in each chamber for controlling upper heat or lower heat. A middle radiator (11) and a lower radiator (12) are attached to a lower side of the chambers and/or an upper radiator (10) and the middle radiator are attached to an upper side of the chambers. The controlling device allows the heat radiation from the radiators (11, 12) to pass through the device in an unobstructed manner, in one end position, and obstructs the passage of heat radiation, in another end position. An independent claim is also included for a method for heating a baking oven.
