The electronic temperature measuring circuit has two measuring units, which have a temperature sensor element (1) in each case, and an evaluating circuit (2). One of the measuring units has a measuring unit operating mode switching element (3). The measuring unit is switched with the measuring unit operating mode switching element between a temperature detecting operating mode and a test operating mode. An independent claim is included for a method for controlling a temperature measuring circuit.
