<p>A flowing-water detector (A) for emitting a signal based on movement of a detecting rod (11) pivoting as a valve element (7) opens. A pin (P) for rotatably supporting the detecting rod (11) can be mounted such that the detecting rod (11) is always parallel to a valve rod (9) of the valve element (7). This prevents a tilt and contact of the detecting rod (11) relative to the valve element (7), enabling the flowing-water detector (A) to accurately detect flowing water based on pivoting of the detecting rod (11) according to opening and closing of the valve element (7). The flowing-water detector (A) is provided with a retainer (21) and an extended block (22). The retainer (21) functions as a holding member which holds the pin (P) of the detecting rod (11) such that the detecting rod (11) is parallel to the valve rod (9) of the valve element (7), and the retainer (21) has formed thereon a bearing (21a) for the pin (P). The extended block (22) holds the retainer (21) and is mounted to a body (1) by a bolt. The retainer (21) and the extended block (22) are provided with a projection (21B) and a groove (22C) which serve as a rotation restricting section and engage with each other. Accordingly, the pin (P) of the detecting rod (11) is always held parallel to the valve rod (9) of the valve element (7) to prevent the detecting rod (11) from tilting and making contact with the valve element (7), and as a result, the amount of movement of the detecting rod (11) when the detecting rod is pivoted can be always maintained constant. Accordingly, opening of the valve element (7) due to occurrence of flowing water in piping can be always accurately detected by pivotal movement of the detecting rod (11). The flowing-water detector (A) can highly reliably operate and perform detection of flowing water.</p> |
