<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the backward movement of an operation pedal when a vehicle collides while securing the high degree of freedom of layout. <P>SOLUTION: This backward movement suppression structure is provided with: a pedal support member 12 fixed to a dash panel 13 formed at the front part of a vehicle compartment 15 for rotationally supporting an operation pedal 11; a hollow cross-section duct member 19 whose one end 19A is formed adjacently to the dash panel 13, and whose other end 19B is formed adjacently to a pedal support member 12; a first piston 22 formed so as to be inserted into one end 19A of the duct member 19, so that it is slidable, and to be butted to the dash panel 13 from the vehicle compartment 15 side; a second piston 23 formed so as to be inserted into the other end 19B of the duct member 19, so that it is slidable, and to be butted to the pedal support member 12 from above; and packing materials 21 and 24 packed in the duct member 19 between the first piston 22 and the second piston 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
